Psalm 45

i love Psalm 45. Especially the first verse. the headings say, to the tune of "Lilies". Of the Sons of Korah. A wedding song.

1. My heart is stirred by a noble theme

as I recite my verses for the king,

my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

2. You are the most excellent of men

and your lips have been anointed with grace

since God has blessed you forever.

3. Gird your sword upon your side, O mighty one

clothe yourself with splendour and majesty.

It speaks of King David's marriage preparations to a princess from Tyre. Read on and there's the princess' preparation. Gowns woven with gold, embroidered garments. Beautiful, no? In my opinion, this was probably a very popular, topping the charts tune back in that era. =D You got the ephod-wearing levites toe-tapping, swaying to this song. There is a song based on this psalm by Greg Silverman titled 'Noble Theme'. Ah, lovely lovelies.

Psalm of the day: Psalm 24. King of Glory!
1. The earth is the Lord's & everything in it,
the world and all who live in it.
2. for He founded it upon the seas & established it upon the waters.
3. Who may ascend the hill of Elohim?
Who may stand in His holy place?
4. He who has clean hands & a pure heart,
who does not lift his soul up to an idol, or swear by what is false.
5. He will receive blessing from Elohim
and vindication from God his Saviour.
6. Such is the generation of those who seek Him,
who seeks Your face, oh God of Jacob.
7.Lift up your heads, O you gates,
be lifted up you ancient doors,
that the King of Glory may come in.
8. Who is this King of Glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.
9. Lift up your heads, O you gates,
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of Glory may come in.
10. Who is this King of Glory?
The LORD Almighty,
He is the King of Glory.
