Focus

its all a trick. an illusion. there is a very good magician out there. the illusion that the seemingly pressing issues of today are indeed pressing. see, a good magician knows to distract our attention from the key to the trick. he flutters his hands, there's fire and smoke but its all a ploy to distract the audience's attention. Our attention is constantly distracted by things that are tangible, the TV, deadlines, wealth, property, the social ladder etc.
When really, all that matters is faith in God. Faith that He has planned out our paths. Its funny when you really start trusting God and really taking that cross and dying to yourself, things fall into place.
its when we fall and experience these pesky dips in faith that our attention is diverted. Don't be fooled.

futile ponderings attributed to sheer procrastination

I don't understand how years of narrating nature documentaries, the most famous ones include BBC Planet Earth and Blue Planet, still has not convinced David Attenborough that Darwinism is a load of baloney written by a man stuck aboard the Beagle for far too long. A man undoubtedly clever, but sadly deluded. Attenborough is an extremely clever man with a really nice deep soothing voice i might add (i have a penchant for soothing tones), but for him not to realise the wonders & complexities of nature created by Elohim, is sheer stupidity.  And to dismiss it all based on natural selection  is idiotic.

Plus now that they've found that fossil, they're saying I'm descended from a freaking lemur. As Captain Haddock would say, "Billions of bilious blue blistering barnacles!"

Pity, because i really do admire the man. But, it doesn't detract from the fact that BBC planet earth is the best documentary ever made..bestest! Has everything you need to know about the earth. Thus ends my avoidance of work, I am resolved to get back to it. Now.

does it not happen here?

here's an odd observation, i've never as yet seen or heard lightning or thunder since i came to the UK. hmmm....food for thought.

speaking of food for thought, here's another one. There is a plastic purple watering can next to my toilet. No there aren't any plants in the toilet. Me thinks I don't know half the weird things that go on in this 4-person apartment.

sounds

its the familiar sounds that make you feel at home. I don't necessarily miss "home" or penang much, just those seemingly inconsequential noises that you hear everyday. i miss the roti man clanging away on his bell, the beeping of the truck carrying veggies into the house nearby or even the mat rempits racing up and down the street. heh.

i bet i'll miss some familiar sounds here when i go back for the summer holidays. like the daily emptying of beer bottles into the rubbish truck at the nearby pub, or the drunken screams of retards outside the pub. yep i'll miss that ALOT.
