metaphores

The end of holidays always invokes a "death-row" state of mind.
There is an eternal black hole in my stomach, as Obelix would say, "I have an empty hole, right here". hence, the constant craving for food.
Then there is that frantic re-reading of favourite children storybooks like Malory Towers, Tintin etc.
Not forgetting lolling around in bed on a nice rainy day.
Its a wonder I'm not the size of a hippo yet, but its getting there. Hence some good in going back to a self-inflicted pauper lifestyle students love to adopt eh.

Yet I have plenty to give thanks for this summer holidays. I have made the most of it and have been mightily blessed. Work, fellowship, outings, food, lolling around, children's stories...loved it all.
May the wheels of time move at a torturous slow pace! Just for these 2 days!

planes, trains & automobiles. turn them all around!

its adios to the land of plenty(plenty of oily good food that is) and aloha to the land of crazy wind and drab food. i am always that glass-half-full kind of person. *heh*
anyhooo...no more walking around in the sun, watching terrapins and kayaking till my left arm falls off.
snivels.

autumn in salford

8 days remain. they'll have to drag me kicking and screaming to the airport. i shall put up a good fight. whats so annoying is the departure date is September 15th. that is a day before September 16th (if you didn't know that already). how inconvenient. again, i am missing all the celebrations and excitement. oh well, am immensely blessed for the food, church, Harp & Bowl sessions, outings and the all important lazing around at home. more next year! i am going to miss church...!!

things to look forward to in the UK: make me some cookies, muffins, cucumber sandwiches, jars of lemonade, treacle pudding and look for the Faraway Tree where Moonface lives in (go brush up your Enid Blyton knowledge).
