hark! spring!

I smell spring in the air. its wonderful. the subtle changes in the breeze, when the wind isn't so harsh and cold, but slightly milder and chilly. And the sun! Oh the sun, the brilliant, beautiful long absent sun! Golden rays everywhere, lovely streaks of orange across the deep blue sky. Its just so nice to feel the mild heat mixed with the perfect chilly wind on your skin. Marvellous! Now i vow not to mock those ang moh who lie in the sun all day in Batu Feringghi beach anymore. And beautiful purple, lilac, white and yellow flowers are starting to bloom, signalling winter must flee! You can feel the eager anticipation of spring in the air, the animals are stirring and people are forecasting. Will take some pictures soon. The seasons are splendid, even winter. Its everything you read in the books! I shall take walks in parks just like the Bennetts, or the Dashwoods, or the Hales, or the Elliots.. hee hee hee.

CNY Dinner

My only CNY celebration. Dinner with a bunch of chinese people at an ang moh family's house. Emperor's chicken, fried rice with chinese sausages, spicy beef with capsicum, herbal chicken wings, spicy rice with some kind of seafood and cabbage soup with seafood. Not too shabby considering i had no hand in the preparations. Not too shabby at all.

all hail

i saw hail! ice hail! woohoo..! not just a few measly ones either. showering down like rain! coming home from placements in Wigan, it felt as if someone was throwing tiny pebbles at my head. mind you, the wind was well nasty today, even killed a man in Wigan. I dunno how, don't ask me, someone heard it over the radio.
Anyway, now i understand when authors say, the wind howls. it truly does. Even the poor crow tried to peck its way into the hospital window in a desperate effort to escape the cold cold wind. I would have grumbled hadn't it been for the ice hail. Now i'm happy skippy. Even saw somemore hail in Manchester.
anyhoo, day went alright. Got to see some routine stuff, some acupuncture, some megapulse work and some ultrasound being done on a man's ass. Nice. Outpatients is fun the first week but i'm betting its gonna get boring after 3 weeks. I definitely have to specialise after 3 years. I don't want to see poor old ladies with back and hip pains for the rest of my life. No way.
TGIF tomorrow. T.G.I.F.
